About Suzanne
Artist Statement
“For me, abstract art is a space of boundless exploration—an invitation to create without the constraints of success or failure. It is a realm where I can establish my own boundaries, dismantle them at will, push my creative limits, and grant myself the freedom to let go. In many ways, the artistic process mirrors life, but within a more contained and introspective framework.
My work is a continuous journey of self-discovery and challenge. I enjoy experimenting with a variety of mediums, though acrylics remain my primary choice due to their versatility and responsiveness to my creative impulses. They allow me to embrace spontaneity, layering, and transformation in ways that feel both liberating and dynamic.
At its core, my art is a deeply personal pursuit—driven first and foremost by the desire to satisfy my own creative spirit. Yet, there is something profoundly rewarding in witnessing a piece resonate with others. That moment of connection, when my work speaks to someone else's emotions or experiences, fuels my passion and inspires me to keep pushing artistic boundaries.”
Bio
Originally from Texas, Suzanne’s passion for art was ignited at a young age during family trips to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Even while pursuing her BBA and MBA, her love for art remained constant, leading her to explore art history alongside her business studies.
Her artistic journey took a significant turn when she moved to New York and Washington D.C., where she immersed herself in the vibrant world of renowned museums and galleries. These experiences deepened her appreciation for artistic expression and planted the seeds of inspiration that would later bloom.
For years, Suzanne focused on advancing her career in business, temporarily setting aside her creative pursuits. However, a pivotal mid-life awakening rekindled her artistic spirit, and she discovered her true voice in abstract art.
